Couldn’t find a 2014 one..

10 days to go until the season starts, the 9’s was a raging success crowd wise and the WCC got 31,000, do we all think that’s a pass?

To be honest round 1 doesn’t look like it will be massive compared to other years, no game in Brisbane and no Eden Park game so the first two games will have to carry the load

Predictions

Souffs/Chooks – 52,000
Dogs/Broncs – 35,000
Panthers/Knights – 16,000
Manly/Storm – 17,000
Cowboys/Raiders – 17,000
Dragons/Tigers – 27,000 (Hard to predict this one, massive supporter bases but there seems to be a sense of doom for both these teams this year
Eels/Warriors – 19,000
Sharks/Titans – 17,000

I think pretty spot on other than the Bunnies v Roosters which I think will get close to being a full house.

I can't see Souths V Easts being much more than 40K due to it being on a Thursday night.

Why all the huge predictions for the Dogs game? I think 20-25K is more realistic.

Saints V Tigers should get 25K, purely because it is reciprocal rights for both sets of members.

Manly V Melbourne 17K
NQ V Canberra 15K
Cronulla V Gold Coast 14K
Penrith V Newcastle 13K
Eels V Warriors 14K

for souths and chooks to get 40k you are going to need 10k easts fans as you are going to max out at 30k souths fans on a Thursday.

Can anyone see 10k easts fans showing up probably not.

Dogs and broncos will be a difficult sell, I think if you get 25k there you are doing well.

Who's gonna have the lowest average crowds this season? I'm tipping the Tigers, can see them being in the bottom 4 this year.

Raiders. the feeling in this town is that we are in for a bad season. unless they start on fire I can't imagine people going to matches to watch poor football and freeze our asses off.

Can't see the Panthers crowd cracking 15k. Only 3,000 people went out to the trial game on the weekend and that was free entry to see 3 games of football, and we picked our strongest available team. Even for just a trial, if people were eager to watch the Panthers play after a long off-season and a lot of hype you would expect a crowd closer to 10k on a Sunday afternoon in pretty good weather and free entry.

Agree with the dogs v broncos. Been years since we had a matchup crack 20k and that's when it used to be our Easter show matchup.

Why do saints do a reciprocal tickets for the tigers and not the bulldogs?

I agree with these. I think Panthers might get a few more, some good buzz out there in the lead up to the season.

I was under the impression that the Dragons V Dogs game in round 9 would be reciprocal rights also?
That was the entire point of the Dragons taking 2 games to ANZ, to allow both sets of fans to attend - pretty pointless if that's not the case.

Can Tigers and Dogs fans confirm if their membership includes away games against the Dragons at ANZ?
