Im no good at guessing Hunter crowds... But it looks pretty more to be honest - the newer stand upper is fairly empty? Other side looks ok-ish though.

Against a Sydney team that is second place and with Penrith in the hunt for the finals less than 12k is not great. Is Gus doing much out in the west to attract crowds?

Looks to me to be more Rooster fans there then Panther ans. It's not as though Penrith don't have a chance for the playoffs this season.

I have real doubts about Penriths long term survival.

Embarrasing crowd at Penrith. Not only 2 Sydney teams but 2 with a bit of a rivalry. One team fighting for a finals position the other looking for the minor premiership. Sh*te.

Agreed. With the number of roosters fans there the Penrith representation would have been well below 10k

Gus better have something clever planned to start pulling the crowds out there or they could be trouble in a few years time

Crowds are always poor in Penrith. Not sure how true it is but I've heard that Penrith has a lot of non-Panthers fans living in the area

I live in the area and I am not a Panthers fan. I know a lot of people who live in the district and very few of them are Panther fans.

If you look at their club Panthers who have tens of thousands members, but few of them support the football team. It's as though many locals love the leagues club but don't give a damn about the football team.

As I said I have real doubts about their future.

I'm sure there is a list around showing team averages for 2013 but I don't need it to know Penrith are well off the pace when it comes to support.

Gus has a lot of work to do to make sure the ARLC's vision for 20K minimum crowd averages per team are in place by 2017/18

Second lowest, infront of only Canberra. On pace for their 5th consecutive year of decreased crowds.

The Panthers brand just isn't a very likeable one at the moment. They also don't really have those big name players people want to go and see. Add in the fact that they are generally bottom dwellers and well it's not exactly a recipe for success. They really need to to change things.
