^ can't find an exact figure anywhere
Radio saying Adelaide crowd is around 8k+ possibly just under 10k....

disappointing that 10k will probably not be achieved

Just got back, it was 18k but should of been played at Parra stadium, most of the ground were Bulldog fans but 18k would of been awesome at Parra stadium.

This fixture MUST be moved back to Parramatta. It worked out last year because it was Round 1 and that's fine but it's not going to last, sorry. Back to Parra for that one, ANZ is a terrible venue when it's an Eels home match.

BTW, 10k Dogs, 8k Eels - JMO.

So there would have been more there if it was a dogs home game?

Absolutely. Members actually get to sit in their seats for home games...

How to do it is reduce Sydney to a one-team town. But then how many people would walk away from the game in disgust? Comparing Townsville, Brisbane, Newcastle, Auckland etc. is unfair for a number of reasons.
How about a five team town?

Round 6 so far

Titans v Raiders @ Skilled 18,510
Panthers v Broncos @ CUA 14,332
Dragons v Knights @ WIN Jubilee 14,477
Rabbitohs v Sea Eagles @ ANZ 14,225
Warriors v Roosters @ Mt Smart 16,309
Sharks v Cowboys @ Hindmarsh 8,547
Eels v Bulldogs @ ANZ 18,233

7 games 104,633 Average 14,948

A good 15k @ Leichhardt should bump that just over the 15k mark, pretty poor round all over though.

Play these games on a Sunday afternoon and I think alot more would show up, weather permitting of course. As I keep saying, Sydney games should be played on Sunday afternoon as much as possible (this would involve 3 night games on Fri and Sat instead of current 5) and Sydney clubs should have plans to develop their grounds into decent 25,000 plus stadiums. They have started.

Seeing 15,000 at ANZ does the game no favours and just perpetuates a negative image.

Yesterday at ANZ didn't exactly back that theory up. 18k for a game between 2 of the supposedly better supported Sydney teams is really abysmal. 30k for that game should have been the minimum anyone could claim as reasonable.

With some of the attendances at games, I think calling them a "crowd" is being generous.

I'm surprised any Parra fans turned up yesterday, and wasn't surprised how many walked out with more than 10 minutes left.

Weather isn't looking good.

The Tigers are facing their first sub-10k crowd in 5 years unless the rain stops..
