Not bad, Not bad.

A sell-out would've been a major boost for International RL though... but a lot better than the 20,000-25,000 horror stories we've seen.

Yeah I was there and the northern end I think it was didnt have many people in it but the eastern and western were packed. Unbelievable support for the kiwis. Great crowd considering it was raining all day. I came down from Toowoomba and I though "oh no" as I was coming down because the weather was miserable. But it cleared up in the city

Worms v Tigpies - 17,000 on the back of resurgent form from both.
Black Cats v Mighty Cowboys - 18,000 - local fans are coming back
Guppies v Drongos - 17,000 - pretty close to a full house
Noughts v *Bulldogs* - 17,000 - poor form from both sides detracts from the new stadium.
She Eagles v Myxies - 17,000 - Brookie's becoming a fortress and the fans are flocking back.
Faders v Blow Ins - 15,000? Not sure about this one.
Rorters v Illasocks - 25,000.

Total: 126,000 Average: 18,000

Bravo Dickheadtik   .

But Fitzgerald is Right: people need to start turning up a good hour before the match. You could get away with it ten years ago in Sydney (Lets face it. Crowds haven't been this good in Sydney since the Late 1960's...), but you can't anymore!

when i was buying my six extra chookpen tickets today at easts leagues the woman behind the counter remarked to her friend that most reserved-seating sections where already sold out for mondays game.

this was obviously before the ticketek crash. which will affect tonight's games a bit I guess.

Hopefully they fix the problem with Ticketek.

One of the things the slows things down these days is the number of people who pay with credit cards, and even eftpos. It's a lot quicker when everyone's paying cash.

yeah, also people should maybe try buying the tickets before they go to the game as well. even if you buy GA at big games this means you don't lose 20 minutes in the line and you will get better seats / spot on the hill.

what happened to those outside of the stadium at the kick off?

Some just missed the start of the game, quite a lot just went home, crowd would have been well over 20,000 if people could buy tickets.

They should have opened the gates, then make Ticketek compensate them for the loss in gate takings. As it stands, even if Ticketek do compensate them, the club still has some disgruntled fans that might not bother coming next time. They should have let them in to keep them happy
