Years ago the Swans were gonna get kicked out of the AFL comp, but they always marketed like the Storm did. Still No-one went to their games. So what did the AFL do? They almost kicked them out but instead;
They pumped money into marketing (all the previous staff cleared out), funded the club big time who then bought big name players even Sydneysiders recognized (Lockett, Barassi etc), promoted the absolute bejesus out of the swans, almost won a comp. The fans came. Now look how they go these days.
The storm shouldn't be any different.
