Melbourne Storm champion Dale Finucane will join Cronulla on a monster four-year $2.5 million deal as the Sharks continue a roster overhaul under new coach Craig Fitzgibbon

Finucane has told his Melbourne Storm teammates about moving to the Shire and informed St George Illawarra on Sunday morning he was rejecting the Dragons offer.

The 4 years is sweet , he's a model professional , will have looked after himself and i don't recall him having had any major injuries . This signing sends signals to other prospective signings that we're serious . Very very happy with this signing , hopefully gives the team a boost for this avo .

We may not get Bellamy, but having Finucane, Hynze and Chambers on board is a close enough 2nd place for me. Leaders on the field who all know the ins and outs of what makes the storm systems so great and combined with Fitzy's role can show our young blokes how to get the job done.

Not concerned with 4 years either because anything that happens can be dealt with as the cap will be ore under control and he'll contribute enormously to any thought of a next man up culture through his experience and mentorship.

You wouldn't shirk at offering Gallen a 4 year deal at 29. Dale is up there in regards to the level of commitment and preparation aswell as his consistency.

Absolutely no issue giving him 4 years, and besides if that's what gets the deal done so be it.

For the young guys in the forwards the experience and toughness of DF and McInnes will be huge , they have lacked real leadership and grit , they will be much better for having these 2 leaders in the pack .
