Orford's a little hot / cold. That's his biggest problem. If he played this consistently all the time, he'd be The Australian 1/2 back with Thurston @ 5/8.

Yes, PLEASE PLEASE pick Orford for origin. Its one thing to dominate a hack NQ team, its another to do it in origin

It seems all Orford has to do to get the 3 points is for Manly to win. IMO, Cuthbertson and L'Estrange were better on Saturday and turned the match in our favour when they came on.

He has been good this season. I have always been one of his harshest critics. He is even changing my mind this season.

Orford was the one that passed Beaver the ball when he scored his try in the Broncos game and as long as Orford is playing at his brilliant best Manly's unstoppable.

Can someone please explain to me why Stranger keeps getting picked as 18th man, then promoted every week?

He is absolutely killing it at the moment, and has been close to manly's best player for 3 or 4 weeks running. Ballin has offered little, every time Stranger comes on their attack really steps up a notch. I don't get it.

Ballin is a good front line defender and does an okay job of dishing the ball out. If the Stranger had to play 80 minutes, he'd have about a quarter of the impact he's currently having. This way, Ballin can do the hard work early and Heath can come on late in the first half to do some damage.

It's an excellent rotation and is getting close to being as valuable as Monas was out of Dummy half.

didn't think human cloning was possible, maybe Ballin spent too much time with Monas when he was at Manly because even back when he came on for Monas he was brilliance in the making.

No I get that. Stranger makes a great impact off the bench.

What I don't understand is Hasler contemplating leaving LeStrange out of the match. This week Heath was wearing the 18 jersey, which suggests he could have been omitted. Which is crazy, he's been one of the best attacking weapons for Manly this year.

Watmough was wearing number 19 so he was in a worse position than Heath and who injured Choc anyway if it was that Sam Tagatase.

It's just the way Hasler names the team, I think. We've learnt that the team named usually has a few changes to the one that actually takes the field, but in Des we trust!

that we do, he is a Manly great after all even if he defected to Wests during the later part of his playing career but he came back like a good little Sea Eagle.

man please be quiet, for one your just pouring fuel on the fire with all of your posts, incase you havent noticed manly isnt really liked :) and your posts just seem to..... Well there farked. And it gives the idiots a chance to post crap.

p.s i still dont get how someone can go for and be passionate about 2 teams, but hey thats just me.... i know when manly merged i still followed the beagles, but if they went completely, i wouldnt follow another team.

As for orford, ive tried to defend him for awhile now, his form is good enough to be leading the dally m's, but he's still playing sh*thouse? he's been manly's best for alot of games over the past few years, and believe it or not, even when mona's was there!

If anyone wants to go back and watch any of manly's games, let me know, ive got everygame from the past 3 seasons on dvd :)

Tactics. Hasler knows other teams see the Stranger as a threat so he puts him in jersey 18 as if he will be chopped from the bench, lulling the opposition into a false sense of security."Phewf" the opposition say. But then, an hour before kickoff the Stranger is included, sending the opposition into a frenzied panic!"Ahhhh!" they scream, "we iz doooooomzorzed!" The damage is done before Stranger even gets on the field, the opposition's starting players always with one eye on the sideline, fearful of the impending arrival and subsequent destruction caused by the one they know so well yet don't know at all......THE STRANGER.
I'm going to contact Marvel.
