I had two first cars...... the one I drove my family around in and the one I used to prefer to drive anywhere I could in.

This is the "stock" version.
I had the "californian" with "cool" wheels and the motor upgraded from 998cc to 1298cc. Rain was a bitch.

Me and three mates brought if for ten quid $20 from a dealership in Top Ryde. We got plenty of fun out of it. Used to go to Avalon Beach every Sunday from Granville...Just had bbq, kicked football around. Some times we even saw the water....Can't believe we used to do that...It was in the pre- PCA days too!!! Bloody scary when I look back now....sh*t I was a goose....

Yep my Dad used to drive around tanked with us in the car all the time. No seat belts back then or at least they only secured the lap. I think that seat belts may even have been optional in the early 70's. We had a stationwagon and my brother and I loved to travel all the way back with the rear window wound down. Crazy days.

Even worse than that...I have memories from when I was six of sitting on dad's knees steering the car, while he worked the accelerator and brake, driving home from town!!!

That certainly is an XD ute. It was a great car to drive. Used to put three bags of cement under the floor across the back wheels to keep some wieght over the back wheels because it would always wheelspin - wet or dry weather.

I have NEVER rung BSB...Actually the call to Talkin' Sport was my first to a commercial Sydney station, but I have spoken to Wok and Thirsty Morrow on occasions...
If you want to hear me on Fridays, tune into the Friday Free for All Sports Show on 2HAYFM, 11am-2pm...I don't think it is a live streaming though....

Sorry, my fault. I gave people a bum steer when I said 2KY. I meant to say 2SM.
