Another session with DA on 2UE

Basically said usual about rraining, covered Tahu and said he was a Ferrari and would be kept in the garage and brought out on race day.

Said Poore and Shacks would give the team grunt in the middle, and that Morts would talk to the Runts but was very confident that he had a home at Parra and would remain, likewise Mateo,Inu and KK would also stay In all of this he said he wanted them to remain at Parra and would work with Ossie on it as they were important as juniors and were happy with where they were.

Brandy then went on to say Parra had issues with ageing forwards, no creative halves and that may be an issue , I thought at the time"what about the pennies", but that is his loyalty I guess

Aging Forwards??

Oldies
Fui, Hindy and Caylo.

Not so Oldies
Mateo, Poore, Benny, Mannah, MK, Shack

I reckon it is a good blend.

However, even though we do have FFMM next year, we need a 25y.o replacement for Caylo

Tahu a Ferrari - So he might only play in the games against the teams in the top 8?
Or is he suggesting a bench spot. Come On playing a roving game and then taken off.

I think he meant that tahu wouldn't play any trials, hes suspended anyway

I assume he's suggesting limited training - save it for the games ..... I guess thats what is required when the players turn into old farts ;-)

.

Dont worry about that, Justin Poore will definately be a starting prop, and there's the experience of Mannah.

Then an up and comer from the U20s and NSW Cup.

I heard DA explain the Ferrari tag last year when we signed Tahu. His reference to Ferrari was based on the reputation of Italian sports cars from the 70's. The were mechanical marvels, but prone to rust, needed re-tuning every few thousand miles and often spent more time in the shop that on the road*. You need to know your Ferrari and learn to manage the beast to get the best out of it.

* I can relate. I had an Alfetta GTV when I was 21 and it cost me a small fortune to keep it on the road.

LOL - I had a Fiat 124 Sports and had exactly the same problem.

My first car was a 1967 Ford Cortina. I bought it for $300 from an old lady up the street. The starter motor was f**ked and I had to start it by lifting the bonnet and bridging the solenoid with a screw driver.

Funny enough my old neighbour (quite a famous rally driver) raced a Lotus version of the Cortina at Bathurst. I hear that he still has one in his garage.
