Saw it metioned in the rumours thread. What is the background to this, if any?

I would't knock having him here. The wheels have fallen off the Warriors this year, but that's mainly due to crap form from Stacey Jones and some players going to sleep.

But their probs aside, if we signed Dan Ando, I wouldn't object if he brought some of his players over with us.

For backs, forget Utai and Talau. Gimmy Francis Meli, or maybe Clinton Toopi. Meli, on his day, is twice Utai. (I think it's ofdd that we salivate over Utai, who is only leaving because Willy Tonga, a player we let go, is killing it at Canterbury!)

Talking ex Eels, we have always missed poor old injury prone PJ Marsh. Would love to see him do a Guru Jnr and come back fit and cheap. And the last time I saw the mighty Mark Tookey he was still busting tackles like nobodies business. Should never have let the great Tooks go!

Wouldn't mind Awen Gutenbeil in a blue and gold jumper, either.

Thoughts?

Hmmm Jones has been playing injured most of the season, as for players going asleep doesnt that come back to the coach ;-)
IMHO it would be a gamble to sign him given how the Warriors have gone downhill, however may be a case of getting a bit stale and needing a change :?

Well of course Daniel Anderson is in no way responsible for the Warriors playing like a pack of losers.....yet as we all know, it is Smithy's fault we are not motivated/enthusiastic/committed/[insert own adjective].

The Warriors and Eels have basically the same problem this year - gotta put some heat on both coaches for what's going on.

Right now I just feel too good to argue the merits or otherwise of Smith. Better to enjoy the moment while we have it. :D

Comparing Anderson's tenure to Smiths is rediculous. Anderson has had half a shit season. Smith has had 2 and a half. Anderson realised that his time, for whatever reason, was over. Smith still reckons he has what it takes (sort of like a typwriter manufacturer waiting for the upswing in demand I reckon!)

Well then do somehing about it Misty. You have an opportunity to become a voting member but you choose not to. Until the time that the board is changed or decides Brian is not the man for the job it looks like he is and as the players seemed happy enough on Saturday night to have him there well its not the people on here you need to convince that Smith isn't the man for the job.

Colonel, I have been giving that information for the last 2 years, if they want action the have to do it an out vote those that of us that have already taken action.

But you will hear the excuse, I am to far away. Well Proxy votes and Mail have revolutionised being a member so far away from the club.

All the talk here in the UK is that Shaun McRae (coach of Hull) might be heading to the bunnies for 2005, to hook up with old mate and new CEO Shane Richardson?
This year Hull is running 3rd (9W-1D-2L) and thumped Widnes 70-4, and Castleford 52-18 in the past week! Jason Smith is their captain...
