I've seen QLD Cup players with more talent and ability than this clown who have not played NRL. Life is so unfair.

Mortimer can thank his lucky stars that he can make a living off rugby league.

His just lucky he started his career when Hayne had the season of his life.

I remember when he turned down the dogs to stay at the Eels saying he wanted to be a eel for life

All he could ever do ok was back up the ball carrier. He does not have a creative bone in his body.

Few keyboard heros here.

Won a comp and played a good role that year off the bench. Better than any of us will ever do...by some way too.

Easy to talk the talk . . . Mortimer's doing his best to walk the walk

He played his best footy as a utility off the bench for the Roosters. Looked good in that role. Play off the bench Morts.

Tend to agree. Never seen him try anything other than 100% - but you could argue that his two shocking kicks out on the full in the last 10 mins cost the Titans the game. Just not enough talent.

I like Morts. Always gives it everything. Might not ever be a first grade quality starting half though. Has his moments but can't produce consistently at this stage.

Kane Elgey looks like a gun from the game I watched on Nein today. DCE/Elgey combo could be fruitful.

Came in here to post the same thing. Elgey has some serious talent, well above what Mortimer can provide. With DCE signed and Sezer rumoured to want to head back to Sydney, that's the combo the Titans should be thinking about.

The problem with Mortimer is that he is not a half and always has mistakes in his game. Whilst he always gives 100%, this is not enough to be a first grade half.

That Elgey kid is a gun and hopefully has a long term future in the halves at the Titans

How could you leave a bloke out with a last name of Mortimer and those smouldering eyes???
