didn't Wags score a screamer of a try in 99 semi against melbourne?? dived millimetres from the dead ball line to touch down from a deep kick by Jason Smith..

I remember that Stagger! He was playing wing that night too

Except for that loss in the semis in 2005 where he wrote the textbook on how not to defend Matt Bowen (sprinting up out of the line everytime - slipping over, beating his fist on the ground).

Some good memories, some shocking memories :D

oh god :(

i was sitting in the stands behind that try line and just had my head in my hands

i knew it was all over then.

and then fkn FIRMAN scored a try right on half time

wow

Um definitely "park footy". But hey, good on Wags for allowing the game to show him the world. Why not ?

He will be the best player there by a mile.

This could be good though if it encourages younger players and he shows them some of the professionalism learnt from the NRL.

The Aston Bulls have pulled off what is undoubtedly the biggest coup in American rugby league history by signing former Australian test player Daniel Wagon.

The former National Rugby League star is set to join the Bulls for the upcoming 2010 American National Rugby League season.

Wagon is an ex-NRL player with Sydney clubs Parramatta and St George. He has also played for the Queensland State of Origin side.

Wagon is due to arrive in Philadelphia in mid-May to prepare for the AMNRL season, which is scheduled to kick off in June.

He played over 230 NRL games and will be the highest profile rugby league player to join the AMNRL competition in its thirteen year history.

“I am really excited to have another old St George boy join the Bulls! He will certainly add a wealth of experience and ability to the Bulls effort in 2010,” said AMNRL president and Aston CEO David Niu.

“Wags will be the highest profile player to ever play in the AMNRL competition and we look forward to him helping us develop the sport of rugby league in the USA.

"Not only a talented rugby player, but also a champion bloke who will be a huge favorite of US league fans.”

Wagon has most recently been playing in France.
