Now Te'o is having a sook in the papers about being abused at games and on social media. Simple solution, get off social media and take away that platform for people to abuse you. Can't really do much about fans at games, they're gonna yell out shit anyway.
Te'o is entitled to have a whinge imo. He was basically hung out to dry by Weidler and absolutely smashed by the public before the accusations against him were even tested in the slightest.
If what was levelled at him on social media was even 10% as bad as some of the stuff that was posted about him here, he is entitled to be pissed off.
On the one hand, it's great that so many people are intolerant of violence against Women but really, social media has put paid to the basic privilege of being innocent until proven guilty.
Within minutes of the reports of the incident, people were all over the web calling for him to be hung. The simple fact is that no one knows what happened, Women have lied about these sorts of things in the past and grubs like Weidler will cultivate these lies without the slightest hesitation in order to sell newspapers.
The fact that Te'o still cops heat over this after it has been proven that the allegations against him were baseless, is a disgrace.
