I haven't heard anything about what he's been charged with but I assume it would be a striking charge and as such he'll probably get rubbed out for the season at least.

What he did was uncalled for even though it happened after he was subjected to a high tackle and it was probably a brain explosion to sjhow his resentment. I'm not defending him at all just saying what I saw.

It has to go down as the brain explosion of the week -- if not the season. Greg Bird's friendly knee into an opposition player's face would have been right up there, but William's king-sized hit has to take the prize.

I found the "I didn't know I did it" argument quite hilarious actually -- even if he was concussed, this can not be used as an excuse for punching someone from side-on without them seeing it coming. It's cheap, cowardly and more importantly: expensive.

It was good to see Storm coach Bellamy not looking to excuse his player's actions either -- no diplomacy can hide such a blatant act of cowardice. I noticed that O'Neill's media statement the other day made no attempt to forgive William's -- there is something there.
