Lockyer misses tackles sure, but look what he does in attack. Where are newcastle on the ladder, where are the chooks.....and where are brisbane.

You guys keep playing with your stats and mould them into what you want them to be....darren lockyer would be my 5/8 every day of the yr

I think Johnny Lang once said "He's not out there to tackle!" when he was questioned on Presto's tackling ability.

Whilst I love to poke fun at the fact that Darren has a special friend to tackle for him, who f**king cares whether or not he's a tackling machine. The man is a brilliant organiser and attacker. He's a jet fighter, not a bloody tank.

cliff lyons was not out on the field to make 20 tackles a game....lyons will not be remembered as a tackler....he will be remembered as a magician with the ball.
Same with lockyer.

Lockyers attack totally outweighs his deficiencies in defence. People say "coaches will target him".....go for it. They said the same about webcke in 2000 when he played with a broken arm. Gooses like Harragon said he will be a passenger and he wont be effective....yeah thanks chief :roll: Brisbane beat the eels and then the next week they won the comp.

If an attack constantly targets one area they will be found out.

I think the issue is that amount of tackles they are forced to make as opposed to Head, Witt etc. if Lockeyer and Seymour have to do so much defensive work, WTF are the Bronco FORWARDS doing?

if brisbane were 2-5 i would be concerned somewhat, but they are 5-2....hopefully 6-2 come 920pm friday night
