Campese, Chalk, Goodwin, Hinchy, Purtell, Thurling and Weyman need to be re-signed, the rest are a bit meh. But if we were to let them go, we'd need to replace them with others which isn't the easiest thing for our club.

Why is everyone so shocked about that clause?

It was NOT forgotten. It just wasnt revealed by management! Now they are playing coy and it has backfired, making them look dumb. Not your smartest tactic boys.

Every coach would have a similar clause in their contract, and can you blame them??

If that's true dubby why did McIntyre say that there would never be such a clause in a Raider's coaching contract again?

i think dave furner will do a good job, and should take over asap from henry. but i also think we should be in the market for a senior coach to fill the role of coaching coordinator. i think murray or lang would be perfect in this role.

also who does everything think we should re-sign from this mob?
Colin Best
Terry Campese
Marshall Chalk
Michael Dobson
Bronx Goodwin
Ryan Hinchcliffe
Ben Jones
Brett Kelly
Scott Logan
David Milne
Adrian Purtell
Willie Raston
Trevor Thurling
Glen Turner
Michael Weyman

the only no-brainer for me at present, with the likelihood of zillman pissing off to qld, is goodwin.

I'd be happy at this point to see Jones, Turner, Raston and possibly Kelly and maybe Best all bugger off.

"Forgotten clause" BS ... my info at the time was that Henry was here for 2 years and someone else would take over ... I think a bit of bad timing has not made that possible.

I'd like to know why mcintyre thinks Fruner is the "next logical choice"

Just saw a list of off contract players, not sure how accurate it was, but I think we should be trying to lure some of the following players.

Ben Hannant
Andrew Emileo
Tim Winitana
Gavin Cooper
Brad Meyers
David Vaealiki
Ben Cross
Jacob Lillyman
Chad Robinson
Shane Rodney
Luke Rooney
Sam Perrett
Amos Roberts
David Shillington
Wairangi Koopu

Some aren't great but they may be bargain buys. Also said that Costigan has to play at least 12 games this year to activate his option, that is no forgone conclusion. I love Lillyman though, I'd rather him than Nev.

David Furner will be terrific for the Raiders...
Don't be surprised if Snoopy Collins comes back as his assistant..

yeah those are more or less the blokes that i was considering as well. i'd like to hang on to Campo but it depends on what his asking price is. i'm not ready to negotiate with Weyman till well into the season. i wouldn't want to re-sign him if he were to have another serious injury. Chalk is handy but i'd much rather have the cap space. i've been a bit harsh on Hinchcliff in the past, but if we can secure Withers a ESL contract and offload him, i'd be happy to keep Hinch.

Snoopy was the real brains behind any success that Elliott had here.

Things aren't going so well at Penrith...isn't Collins there with Elliott still, or did he leave?

i agree. there some decent low-to-mid priced options going around that would be very handy.
