Rick Stone is way too good to be an assistant, he would be a good get.

Maybe this is the chance for the dragons to sign furner and complete the set.

to the people who dont get that henry was sacked first.
You have been sacked when you have been given your 2 weeks notice (in this case until end of season notice)
just because furner wasnt given 2 weeks notice and terminated immediately does not mean that Henry was not sacked first.

furner sacked from a player revolt
saying that they cant play under him anymore
8 players
what an example of "player power"
it's kind of scary for a coach i reckon

He deserves a fulltime coaching gig. But would he coach and give up his referees job?

Hopefully he does. Referees haven't been diabolical than this year, under his watch.

I agree though. He did wonders at the Warriors. A bit of a disciplinarian, which was exactly what we needed (and perhaps still do), and perhaps what Canberra need too.

This is a truly sad moment for the great Canberra Raiders rugby league club. They have lost their brains trust and there's no telling how far they'll fall now.

It would be inadvisable to judge any coach by his time at Parramatta, even Smith had to move before his lack of prowess became apparent to everyone. Anderson is wasted but which job is more important

Well, considering the job he's doing with the referees at the moment, I'd love for him to become a First Grade coach again.

They should try to catch him on a monday morning and tell him. He'll probably be at training or otherwise fulfilling the terms of his 2012 contract. It's easier to catch him then than on the weekend when he will be busy coaching the cowboys. He is actually very busy at work, especially for a bloke that got sacked.

Unfortunately for Neil, he has no work for 2014 yet.

:lol::lol:

Bullshit.

So if you are in your job and they hand out retrenchment packages and say:

"You are to finish work on 7 October 2013 but you are to be paid this severence and can now start looking for a new job" Are youy saying you are not actaully retrenched/sacked???

To those that are saying he does not have a gig in 2014 but does for the rest of 2013 - incorrect. Coaches start planning for next season the day after their team is knocked out this year. Will Neil Henry? Do you think Neil Henry is having a say in the structure and playing roster for next year right now??? Please.

He is sacked. Whether he finishes on 21 August or 7 October or 1 January 2014 he is still sacked.

The Cowboys board have told him his services are no longer required. That is sacked.

How anyone thinks he was not the first coach sacked is beyond me.

I'm currently in the same boat as Mr. Henry, except my job is being made redundant rather than me being sacked.

I am a little disappointed, I was looking forward to the 30 game losing streak that Don said the Raiders would have to have before Dave got sacked
