I hold David Waite in the highest regard. His 1996 season to turn things around for Saints was one of the best coaching displays you could ever hope to see.

Good luck if you get him, things will start looking up for sure.

I don't know if it is value for money. How much can a coaching coordinator really do? Would we have any money left for him to coordinate?

Anyway I've met him a couple of times and seemed a nice guy. I'd prefer Ricky Stuart as head coach, but we'll see.

I used to live with his daughter. She was crazy. It was in Canada.

He was coaching the lions at the time, walked into our flat and I was washing up in my Sharks jersey. At the time I thought he was a dirty dragon and had no idea he played for the Sharks. I brushed him when he started to talk footy with me enthusiastically. I reminded him of the 99 disgrace and the fact I would never associate with any member of that association no matter how crazy their daughter was. He was genuinely hurt.


He would be great for us.

He said he wants to take a year maybe more away from league plus he is not interested in coaching any club and hasnt been aproached.
Rekons he is returning for personal reasons and that it is a coincidence he is comming home with several coaching positions available
