He will never be worth what we paid for him, plain and simple. But I was hoping for a better rub of the green than the 4 games he has managed for us?
yep, i've crossed over from disappointed to extremely f**king disappointed.

Lol thought you were talking about De Gois for a second there!

Cross is probably bust of the year besides Craig Wing in terms of expectations and what theyd bring to the team for the whole year. Can also through Travis Burns in there.

on 2gb they said de gois was pressured into joining the knights as he was given a limited amount of time to agree,he was given a 3 year deal for more money as cron could only offer 2,apparently he was having 2nd thoughts but will come to newc as he gave his word on the deal

I've been quite impressed with Snowy actually. Really starting to hit his straps in recent weeks.

Snowy is one bad tackle away from retirement.

but I guess that can be said of every player, can't it.

Interesting stat I saw posted in the NRL forum:

who has the most missed tackles this year, kimmorley would be up there for sure
Here are the top 5...

B Kimmorely: 96
I De Gois: 73
T Carney: 62
M Minichiello: 59
N Friend: 58

Wait, that's not interesting. More slightly frightening

doesnt tell you who is first in.

ie De Gois, Mini and Friend (and bedsy for that matter) are all first contact defenders - so of course they get bumped off more. compare that to the mr flopsys around, and they will look bad.

Yeah that stat can be pretty misleading.

Be Gois is first in on alot of tackles and also extremely good at one on one tackles. After watching the Manly v. Sharks game and hearing what the commentators had to say the one thing I picked up on was that when there is a big forward on an angled run he will attempted to go high and can get brushed off. Still a very strong defender IMO.

In regards to Kimmorley i reckon 50% of his missed tackles are from his kick chance where he runs 100 miles an hour down field and dives at the kick returner.

De Gois has trouble with side on tackles. Front on he is sweet.

He is like Buderus though, just launches himself.
