Not sure if this is allowed to be posted but anyway here goes.
Newcastle Radio station 2KO (102.9) is reporting a rumour this morning that the Roosters CEO was seen at De Gois's house on Saturday before the game at 1.00pm they were later joined by Brian Smith!!
The station are trying to find out if there is any truth in it and say they will try to confirm or negate it this morning.

I also thought he would have another year left on his contract, unless he has a get out clause.

An educated guess would be that the house was not De Gois' but a dumpster behind the Brewery where Smith and Noyce were meeting.

Pika would know.

With all due respect to Pika, unless he was physically with De Gois on Saturday afternoon, or knew players who were - why would he know?

If the De Gois story is accurate, I imagine that Knights staff and team mates would have been kept in the dark for obvious reasons.

The same way none of them knew that Brian Smith was roaming around behind their backs doing a deal with the Roosters.

Sure this alleged meeting might not have been at De Gois' home, but what would the difference be if the story is accurate, but the location wasn't? No difference at all.

At 1 30pm on Saturday we got to Wests and Brian Noyce was there with 3 other people gambling on the horses. He walked past us like 10 times as he was constantly on his mobile phone.I was tempted to say something nasty to him about approaching our coach who was still under contract but couldn't be bothered. So I can;t imagine he could be at De Gois house and at Wests unless he has a clone/twin maybe? LOL

As if the time of day, or location of the alleged meeting means bugger all anyway.

The most important thing is if this meeting happened at all - whether it was at a dumpster, King St Maccas, Wests Leagues, De Gois' house, Pikas backyard, wherever.

Because ultimately the outcome or reasons behind the meeting is all that matters - not the location.

If there was no meeting, there was no meeting. If there was, location and time is irrelevant.

De Gois was definately not at Wests only Noyce and he was there until 4.30pm when he left to go to the ground......

2KO said a while ago that Brett Keeble (local league writer for the Newcastle Herald) was on the job finding out if there's anything in it. Keeble did say that Noyce and DeGoise are friends, and the meeting (if it took place) could be quite innocent.

Oh no! rumoured meetings, bioduplications, nude conspiracies. This season is ending in such a negative fashion

Even if there was something in it, Keeble and the local tabloid aren't going to write a negative article on Smith, De Gois or the Knights.

They are long term Knights sponsors and have given the club a nice cushy ride over the years.

Its always been a propaganda machine for the administration.

2KY BSB show reported they spoke with Noyce this morning about the rumour. Apparently De Gois lives with Shannon McDonnell. When asked, Noyce told the show that he was dropping off the parents of McDonnell who were visiting their son.

It may be innocent, McDonnell's dad is the recruitment manager for West Tigers, the club in which Noyce was CEO for prior to the Roosters..... so its reasonable to assume that they all know one another very well.
