I am happy to know Dean Young has re-signed. Well done. It's good to keep a club man who has family ties with the club. I too can't understand why he is getting bagged.

both of these juniors have the potential for rep duties (lets not forget young was named as 18th man for nsw before he tweaked his knee..)

I am hoping that in 2024, Dean Young will be able to get our guys to be better defenders. He would have gained so much experience as Todd Payten's defence coach at the Cowboys and hopefully he and Flanagan will be able to bring a few good players to us from the Townsville club.

We know that Young bleeds red and white and he will be a great mentor to the young ones coming through. Maybe the other assistant will be Carr as the attacking coach, but of course all this is to be confirmed.

I’m fine with this and it’s more experience for him under another coach from outside of the Dragons system. Never understood the hate he’s received on this forum (apart from the nepotism innuendo). Legend of the 2010 team and went through hell to get on the field each week. This club needs true Dragons right now and he personifies that.

I never thought of this but I reckon it is a good move.

IMO that will see Kyle end up in the Big Red V

If that does happen then the interests of the St George BOD has been served and the new coach compromised but in return he will get to coach his son.

If it was only about Flanno’s coaching ability then no way Young gets a start in any capacity.
