It's got nothing to do with the "intended recipient". It's got to do with the fact that writing a letter to a player on here has nothing to do with the player themself.

If you want to make a point about something, start a topic and let it go from there. If you want to write a letter to a player, write it and send it to the Club where I am sure it will be passed on.

If there are really people here who want HaHa to know how they feel about contractual stuff etc, I seriously recommend writing that letter and sending it to the Club. I'd even advocate everyone banding together to mail in en masse. I think something like that could really make a point.

If a player starts getting dozens of letters sent to the Club it might make them take notice. Posting "letters" on this forum will achieve nothing except getting fans to discuss the matter here, which will in no way affect the decision making of the player who was supposedly the intended recipient of the message.

I completely agree.

What I don't understand is why anytime someone starts a thread or post about Jarryd Hayne you jump in like a ninja having a go at him.

Dear Jarryd,

If you are happy in rugby league and at the Eels, then the best way to stop any attention over contract negotiations is simply to sign any decent (eg $350-400K) offer that the Eels put to you.

A failure to do this shows me that you are more interested in money than any loyalty to your industry or employer or fans. $350K per year is more than enough for anyone, to delay or quibble over getting higher takes a certain type of personality, one that I'm not sure is in the best interests of our club to retain...

Dear Jarryd,

Don't listen to Suity and HJ - they are just party poopers.

I completely agree.

Of course.

Tonight's a bloody HJ love fest. Sporty, PG and caylo in another thread and now you and Suity in this one.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

What I don't understand is why anytime someone starts a thread or post about Jarryd Hayne you jump in like a ninja having a go at him.
In this case it's a pure coincidence.

In the other cases it's a combination of making a point (tempering the wankfest), stirring the pot (which makes this forum more interesting) and just having a bit of fun with RJ (because despite what he always tries to say, no one wants to play with him).

Dear Jazz,

Please do not step out in front of moving cars.. Especially when drivers like myself refuse to do 10km in car parks.

Cheers..

Just to let you know, my initial post was a suggestion to make up a letter, that everyone could sign, showing how much we wanted him to stay at our club. The initial reaction was not good, and suggested that it was dribble - thats why I deleted the post. (I didnt expect this thread to survive after that) I agree, its highly unlikely anyone would take notice of the gibberers (like me) on here - however, a personal letter with signatures (I thought) may have been something as fans that we could consider in any effort to retain him. (i didnt expect you to sign it mate...:D)
