Defencive form

During the trails parramatta has conceeded a average of 20 point a game (With out Hindy :D ). This is a 6 point improvement on last seasons average and only 5 points behind the best defencive team (Roosters) in the competition.

I thought i would bring it up cause it is something we haven't discussed much and its going to have a huge impact on our season. Hopefully we can keep this average going threw out the season. I can only see our defencive line improve with Hindmarsh and Robinson included in the side, also with Morrison playing 80 minutes a match.

Exciting stuff :D

hard for the oppostiion to beat us if they cant score

I remmember we were the best defensive team in 2001 and it got us to the grand final

It's hard to guage any sort of form with the three trial matches we played there were good and bad moments in all of them and we played 3 very different sides.

Don't forget we fielded half a firstgrade side last friday night and were very commited despite having a high error rate.

in a few words i would say the form was "mixed but promising"

yeah, i can see where you are coming from. But Brian was quick to praise our defence during press confrences after the trails and i feel with the personel we have that wheren't heaviely featured in the trails such as Hindmarsh, Robinson and Wagon are only going to improve our defence. PJ is also a awesome defender and as he gets more games under his belt his confidence is only going to improve aswell as his defence.

Defence wins trophies. If I had to build a club from the ground up, I'd start with a strong defence when putting together the team.

As Twizzlie said, makes it hard to lose when you keep your opponents to as little as possible :)

See you make some good points.

It is even more exciting, considering that:

(1) They were merely trials;

(2) We never, at any stage, played our strongest possible team; and

(3) They were with rustier combinations.

well it's a good thing BS understands this and if you read his post-match comments from the trials, he's talking a lot more about defence than offence.
