I know print journos usually have obituaries and stories of that nature at the ready, but aren;t in the habit of printing them before the event!

Denis would be very silly imo if he walked without arranging alternate employment first (there was a rumour some time ago about Blacktwon Workers?), or without waiting for the new board to release him from his contract with the one year salary pay out (since Ovo has posted the outgoing board have not recently discussed the CEO's contract/future).

I guess there'll be some more headlines to come, and the DT is just pre-empting it all...

Terry alls i meant was i find it strange as to why a club can block a membership app..I was backing you with my comment,cos as far as i know clubs shouldnt block a person just on a vendetta..As i said its only done if someone has had a blew or been out of controll in a club..So maybe you even have cause to question the personal reason?Although it wont matter now really cos you will be accepted..Anyway well done on what you set out to achieve

Terry, it does seem funny that your application to join was rejected.
Why don't you take your rejection to a higher authority..like the Anti Discrimination Board?
With the removal of the old Board, does it mean that you will get a clear run now into the Club, or are there still issues for the Board to take into consideration?
I, too, find it strange that a personal vendetta is the reason for non acceptance...
If you are that keen to join the Club, I hope they let you in....

Controversial Parramatta rugby league chief executive Denis Fitzgerald has been stood down pending an investigation into the club's recent board election.
The club released a brief statement on Tuesday night confirming Fitzgerald, a 30-year veteran in the role, had "agreed to the board's request not to perform his ordinary duties whilst the investigation is undertaken."
Fitzgerald's power base was effectively eroded when five new directors were voted on to the league's club's board on April 26.
The Rebel 3P board had a strong anti-Fitzgerald sentiment but the immediate action appears to concern the "votes for vouchers" scandal where selected members were sent $30 meal vouchers along with how to vote cards for the previous board.
