He couldn't beat the mighty Reset though I backed him the day he won at 30-1 at Flemington in the 1400m race. Then smashed the both of them in a Quinella the Cadbury Guineas. Both handy sires as well.

Awesome win by Polanski,Bring Something is still one to follow for the future,ran 7th today ,that horse has no idea what he is doing out there,if one day he can learn to race properly he will go well.

Talking of handy sires Exceed and Excel sired the Breeders Cup juvenile turf winner today in Outstrip and tomorrow Choisir has two horses in the Breeders Cup mile in Obviously and Olympic Glory

What a dead awful day, sort of saved something by belting Zoustar and Polanski though! f**k I had 5 seconds today, I was pissed and the protest wasn't upheld in one of them which was a joke!

Still don't get that protest not being upheld- the winning horse ran sideways right into the horse that came 2nd! How on earth is that NOT impeding/obstruction, or whatever they call it. I was absolutely livid as I had that straight out but I also had that in a multi with Zoustar, Index Linked and Red Tracer! Believe me I was annoyed to say the least!

Rebel Raider was a very ordinary horse,most of his career was in Adelaide dude to his plodness,Monaco Consul was another plodder who did not win another race after winning the Derby,Lion Tamer was another average performer who struggled at WFA against non WFA horses like Descarado and Pinker Pinker,he did win the Underwood at group one level but that was against another non WFA performer in Southern Speed.

Was a dead set awful year though for the derby, was a chook raffle. At least this year the two form horses were the quinella. (I'll forgive Savvy Nature who I think will be a great horse). That is the ONE thing I hate about Derby Day- absolute donkeys win most years!

Back from Melbourne and I cleaned up down there winning on 3/4 races I bet on, but more importantly, learnt 3 very important lessons:

1. Polanski and Paximadia are the greatest horses, as they never let me down
2. NEVER EVER BET AGAINST YOUR GUT INSTINCT... Sharnee Rose cost me a 100% strike rate... AND MY ORIGINAL TIP WAS RED TRACER WHO EVENTUALLY WON
3. And finally... even Horses and carriages are not immune from Melbournes hook turns!
