Did Dragons deserve Minor Premiership?

Ignoring the controversy and going purely on stats, St.George have generally been the most dominant team all year. So going on that they probably did deserve it.

Stats don't win a competition though.

If I were a dog supporter I'd be more focused about winning the premiership then who deserved the MP.

Yeah that performance by Idris was about the worst performance I've seen from any player this year. You gotta have more then just size to play this game, how slow was he. And on top of that he seemed totally disinterested. Better get rid of him asap if you want to go much further, he's been exposed.

It doesn't matter who deserved to win the MP, the fact is, that Saints did win it.

Having said that however, it doesn't take away or diminish the magnificient effort put in by the Doggies in 09. Both clubs should be proud of their achievements in 2009.

The no try decision in round 10, was unbelievable, as was the taking of 2 points off the Doggies against the Panthers. In particular, that decision was far too harsh as the 14th man had no bearing on the result. Surely some common sense could have been used here.

On the other hand, the Dragons stats for for and against were quite remarkable.

So who is the winner; in my opinion, rugby league. The year ended up quite correctly, with both teams on equal points.

We won more games, copped more bad decisions over the year and still stayed up near the top.

I think we deserved it but the Saints' effort was remarkable too. Either team was worthy, we just stumbled at the finish. Hopefully we can turn it around this week.
