He didn't do anything wrong, his kicking game was solid ... but it's the last time he'll be seen in a rep jumper. Ever.

i think you over-rated his kicking game axie, he put in a number of shocking kicks, one bomb and one decent long kick was it from him
but other than that spot on

Agree. Did nothing wrong. Can't blame him for the 2nd half, he didn't get the ball and the forwards lost their way a little.

Prince milked that penalty that led to the 1st try. It wasn't his fault.

Most importantly he didn't miss important tackles.

I have bagged him before and never wanted to back the little weasel again. I can't fault his debut tonight, especially at Suncorp up against a desperate QLD

None of those poll options cover my opinion. I think he did ok for what was expected of him, he got the call-up 3 days ago so it would be a hard ask to expect too much from him. He didn't do anything wrong as such, but we need someone classier for game 3.

Average first half? He had an excellent first half. And like Prince in the first half (an even Lockyer) he cold do very little in the second half because his forwards were being dominated.

Averaged to bad+sucked is adding up to a LOT more... ie 61%
I wonder why? That is purely because people didnt want him to play well and because no-one likes his club team. Bias aside, there is NO WAY someone can say he was average. If you want to make an argument that he was solid then fair enough. But average or even sucked? Please...smell the f**king roses and be brave by standing up above the sheep by admitting he had a pretty good game.

No surprise it's mostly Faider fans bagging Finch, oh and of course muffet moffo and his one man crusade.

Finch was called into the side with 3 days to prepare, 3 DAYS YOU MORONS!! Yet despite that he played a great first half and was behind a beaten pack in the second. And had Minichello grasped those inside balls from Finch...

Chook.

Finch gave away a silly penalty, but sucks big time    ;-)
thats what lost the game  from that Qld score
34 min:
TRY - QLD.
Billy Slater turns the match on its head, taking an inside pass, hitting the gap, and running 20 metres to score under the posts.
Conversion Cameron Smith.

Anyone who said he played poorly is f**king tosser.

Considering he only came into camp 3 days before the game, he played very well. Made some nice passes and had a decent kicking game. Didn't touch the ball much in the 2nd half but locky and prince hardly touched the ball in the first half. Put it this way, i've seen Johns have worse games.

He was a joke, every time he got the ball the NSW attack crunched to a halt. He had plenty of chances both in the first half and the second half. NSW forwards werent going forward???  Tell that to Mason and Hindmarsh ... bloody brilliant. Finch struggles in the first grade let along SOO

cheers

I can't vote for any of those options. To say he was solid and played well might be overstating it a bit, but given his sudden call up you can't say it was poor or that he sucked. His inexperience at Origin level showed, and he didn't always handle the pressure he was placed under as well as NSW needed.

I would vote for "Fair".

For some reason myself and everyone I was with thought he was substituted at half time. Could be because we didn't see him do anything in the second half. And all this crap about how he hardly got the ball because the forwards were being dominated... NSW were still getting sets of six were they not? A decent half back should be handling the ball at minimum twice a set.

Sorry Mr Finch, I wanted you to go well, but you didn't. That said, it would be interesting to see how he went if he had more preparation time.
