Well i dont remember but according to wiki he played 1 game. Might be wrong.

Not really surprising the coachs son got al his fg games with us and no one else.
Different Jason Croker. This one captained Australian Schoolboys in 1989, joined us in 1990 from Batemans Bay. He was a decent ball playing lock who showed some promise in lower grades but didn't kick on.

There was also Luke Branigan, who joined us in 2002, had lots of injury problems, hardly got on the field. His claim to fame was that he was the only one other than Matt Johns that was identified by name in the NZ sex scandal of 2002. Luke B was related to the Branigan brothers Arthur and Ray who played for Souths in the 60s and 70s.

From memory he played a lot of first grade for the Dragons in 2000 but once he came over to us I think he only played first grade for us once then disappeared.

That wasn’t Brannigan that was Brett Firman.

He was part of it but Brannigan was the one named by the girl besides Johns. Brannigan got rejected by her, that's his real claim to fame
Yes I remember one bloke hit the headlines for being knocked back. Can't remember his name but his deeds or non-deeds will live on forever in Sharks folklore.

Let's give him an UP .... UP

Well the NZ Herald article mentions David Ninness playing that part, funny how we remember these blokes for their nothing contributions.

Billy Benyon. 1974

UK test centre. The next big Superstar Pom to come to Aus. Arrived with a CV like an enclyopedia

Think he busted his arm in his 2nd or third game and faked off back to the Old Dart

Think T Bishop conned him into coming

Matt King played for us
Don’t think he even got 1 game in 1st grade.
Great judges we were

I believe Chris Anderson thought he was a lazy trainer.

On obscure / forgotten players, we had English international lock Mike Gregory for part of 1987. Not a bad player, but I remember seeing Steve Mortimer run his boot up and down his head while the ref wasn't watching.
