Did we miss Bryce Gibbs in Rnd 1?

I thought the team as a whole were ordinary in r1, especially our key players. Some bright spots, but not many. I have never been a big fan of Gibbs (too many silly penalties), but did we miss his mongrel last week, would it have sparked the others?

Big time, we missed his line speed in the forwards. He usually sets the pace and at times it looked like our defensive line was just standing back rather than rushing forward.

Having said that we did look flat and if gibbs turned up with the same attitude we would not have performed any differently.

I guess we will find out Saturday evening.

I have noticed that we play better when Gibbs, Heighno, Fults, Marshall and Farah are ALL together.

Go the 05 boys!

Big loss - we need him back asap.

He has transferred himself from my most disliked Tigers player to one of my favourites last season.

Yeh most of your props are metre eaters, he's a very good defender in middle field. I think lock will suit him and the side well this week. Allow Heighington to start running on the fringes again where he's best.

This is exactly right.

Gibbs is the perfect lock.

I heard that Ellis is just about certainly out adn Gibbs 50/50, which I think means out. Aim up Heino, Payten and Galloway, show some leadership.

Great news!! wet track up against a noted mud runner and a depleted pack that failed to impress at their last start. The forms not looking good but just ask Penrith and The bronks, form means nothing
