Difference between Nathan Merritt and tits on a bull?

Covell then overtook him 2 weeks later.

There was decent raps on Merrit, but I can't forget his second game for us last year when he was jogging after someone that made a break and was overtaken by a front rower (Nutley). Very poor effort.

It is funny though because he did kill it in PL. I think he scored something like 40 points in a game last year.

That was against Cougars and I thought it was even more than that.

2nd on the top tryscorers list on 15 tries- only one behind Brett Stewert.

Not bad an effort for someone that is useless.

Yeh he is a shocking defender, but i mean..he is coming 2nd on NRL 2006 try ladder, 15 tries to a losing side, not bad

But how many of those tries have been right at the end when the result has been decided? Much easier to score tries against a side that's clocked off.

Well if it was so easy why are there not more people with such a strike rate. He has improved considerably since Peachy arrived at souths.

Thats the difference between his PL days and his FG days..

PL he was a fullback. Didnt have to defned as much. Now he is on the wing and being caught out of position so many times. Good attacker at times, shocking defender.

Dont rate him tbh. But id take him over Covell. Either way they would both be in my PL side

who would you rather nathan merrit or luke covell

Covell - simply for the fact you get to here 'Whoop! There it is' everytime he kicks a goal ... and on the extremely rare occiasions he scores a try. :p

Chicka Ferguson was never a great defender but he's still my favourite player of all time. Let's call Merritt an "old school" winger.
