Bennett wasn't wise at all.

He took a squad Browny built, brought a few key people and left. No succession plan or eye to leaving the Dragons strong in the years to follow.

Little head thinking some would say.
Bennett is not the answer.
Mate, he was told win a comp.
That's it.
The guys that are meant to scout for new players let the ship down
Recruitment guys did jack all.
Bennett did his job 100%
No one else did.
Same as now.
All bludgers
Thank god for Wayne, otherwise 20 more years.

He sized us up and found our forwards had a soft under-belly. Then he went out and got the mongrel players we needed and a couple more. At the time he asked for a 5 year deal and was only given a 3 year deal and was expected to win a premiership.

Well he was smart enough to coach a squad to win a premiership in his second year at the club. Then there is Mary ……………..
Exactly possm
Wayne is king
Got us home in his second year
Mcidiot still can't work his bench out after 4 years
Chalk and cheese

I agree our Board and our coach leave much to be desired but the Roosters as a role model? Nah. Despite having the highest third party agreement money in the NRL, despite having all those players who apparently ‘play for less’ to be at the Roosters, despite the dodgy salary cap and despite having the most powerful CEO in the game, since 1975 they have won 2 premierships. We have won 3. Their mindset might be different but their results aren’t.

James Graham has the right expectations. Maybe he should be our chairman when he retires.
Although our new chairman - Bruce Gordon's son - who has been a board member for quite some time may have went along with Illawarra and St George old boy's ideas previously, it is now the fortunes of WIN Corp and his family that are on the line.

I feel sure that a turn around will happen over the short term where success will out trump the desires of old boys to resist change and work in the best interest of the Club rather than the best interest of individuals who have their snouts in the SGI trough.
