Disturbed by Marketing Saints Match

Is anyone else uneasy over the way WT are marketing the upcoming Saints match? To me it reeks of living on the past glory and only serves to bring to mind the absolute schemozzle of WT record since 2005. I suppose it is indicative of the mindset our supposed leaders have become entrenched in.

The 2005 season has blocked everything else since then.

What have we had?

Failed coaching, failed player performance, failed recruitment and retention, failed finals aspirations, failed financial management of player salaries.....

On the plus side- magnificent community work and social policies.

Pity we are actually a football team and not social workers......... the results on the field have been abysmal.

And yet we hark back to the beginning of the miracle period- and use the 1 player (Halatau) in the promo that should be getting his nuts roasted for the sh*t pass at the end of last game that cost us any chance of winning it. Safe to say Halatau will not be paying any price for his effort last week.

I bet St George dont mind, they will use it as motivation and us well im not sure what positives we'll gain from it, maybe it might help attract more than 5k ppl to the game. And just like 2005 there will be more saints supporters than tigers

Its pathetic and embarrassing.

Its a indication of our mindset and a sad reflection of where we are as a club.

I think it really is getting to the stage where losses are going to be better for a future of this club. Coming 15th will be better then 10th or 11th. Only then I fell the wheels can be put in motion for change. You can't hide behind bad luck and injuries when you run 15th

Great idea, give the Saints players something to fire up on so they'll put 50 on us instead of the usual 30 odd.

Wish I'd thought of it...

What a f**king joke we are. Pure genius from our marketing department

Maybe next time we play the Cowgirls we can remind them about G/F 2005

Nice one d*ckhead. Im saying how pathetic my club is. However at least they are only pathetic enough to wank over victories that lead to us winning a comp, yours wank over games that lead to u winning sweet fa

I'll be pleased by the performance and expect such efforts to the norm not the exception that they currently are. I hope it happens but dont expect it WT are just too inconsistent, misfiring and too many players not performing.

defeatest and negative marketing, nice.
"f**k it...lets at least get agro dragons fans to the game to give us heaps rather than have empty seats"

lets see the rosters market their next game, as "come watch your team hammer us! remember that time from 2001-2004 when we smashed you, it's time to collect."

If it gets more people to the game then surely it's a good thing. After all, the last night game between these two clubs at that venue was that game in '05. The only thing I would find offensive about the picture if I was was a Tigers fan is that it shows more emphasis on the Dragons loss than the Tigers win.

I guarantee the Dragons player and coaches aren't sitting around assuming victory. The Tigers have shown enough this season to trouble every team in the comp at the flick of a switch. They are always in with a chance. Terrible marketing though I agree.
