Too f**king soppy for me.

That's right...they're f**kin terrible....that was the whole point of my planned tour. Foreigner, Journey, Boston, Styx, and any other similar bands you care to name. I wanted their fans to have to wear a 'I got Soft at the Softcocks of Soft Rock Tour 1997'. Can't believe that nobody believed in the concept ;-)

?? Did Lou Gramm do one of them as a solo artist?

Pretty sure they're both Foreigner.

I once tried convincing some people to back a revival tour of the 'Soft c**ks of Soft Rock'. Foreigner were going to be the headline act.

I'm terrible with band names, and who sang what. I was just referring to the line after 'I'm hot-blooded'. I always liked the blonde in the chainmail dress tho. :D

Fair point. We didn't quite have the same sort of bands (but I'm sure there's a couple I've scrubbed from my memory). Possibly the pub rock culture of the 70s / early 80s saw to that. We had some bad bands (Uncanny X-Men come to mind) and lots of ordinary pure pop acts (Pseudo Echo), but none of the ones I can remember had that 'shiny, polished' distorted guitars , lame, melodic feel of the US bands referred to above.

EDIT:Just saw the suggestions above. Sherbet and Dragon weren't quite as bad. And Air Supply are just easy listening crap (but I had blocked them out of my mind to avoid illness). My tour was about pretend hard rock bands. LRB, yeh fair call.
