I’m wrong plenty of times and am happy to admit it when I am...although as it turns out I probably didnt have egg on my face after all as my initial opinion was probably right.

I have also stated that there should be performance clauses in that contract.

I just find it amusing that someone can make a statement that they are never wrong (except for 1 instance), when that same person has been proven wrong on so many occasions. If you’re going to make ridiculous statements like that you’re going to have to live with being called out on it from time to time.

I never said he was shit. When merkins were saying he'd failed with the Bulldogs I was the one to point out it was the first time he'd missed the finals since 2004. But clubs don't sack coaches for no reason and getting rissoled damages a coach's reputation. It makes it easier for the players to make him the scapegoat when things get difficult. Obviously his reputation was still good enough for Manly, just as Stuart's was still good enough for Canberra. Some clubs are more forgiving with their favourite sons. I said Kearney would never coach again as well. Would he have gotten a gig anywhere else bar the Warriors?
