Is BA serious with that reasoning for dropping Mannah? He should be picking the best team to win the next game, not making ridiculous “points” by dropping our second best middle this year.

For the record, NRL stats indicate the following:

Mannah
Minutes: 36 minutes
Runs: 13
Run metres: 97
Tackle busts: 1
Tackles: 17
Missed tackles: 2

Gower
Minutes: 30 minutes
Runs: 8
Run metres: 67
Tackle busts: 3
Tackles: 19
Missed tackles: 1

Now Peni...
Minutes: 32 minutes
Runs: 5
Run metres: 36
Tackle busts: 1
Tackles: 18
Missed tackles: 2

Now tell me again how Mannah has been dropped and yet Peni stays?

BA has lost the plot and whether he is doing it intentionally or not, is sabotaging our season.
Those stats show that Terepo has been better than Mannah in defence. Mannah's go forward was so improved I hadn't realised how much his defensive work rate was down.

Ive tried to look at it from every angle and there are some solid arguements but its hard to reason Peni's form and Kane Evans. Ffs BA. Surely any reasoning goes out the window when this pair are selected for the NRL team.
Gower is a legend but he will go off the boil. He always does. Will Smith had his one decent game 2 weeks ago. Everyone (well not everyone) knows this bloke has one good game and then becomes a liability. He was poor last week and if history is any guide he'll be worse this week.
I do like The Hoff in the centers though. As good as hes been I anticipated Taka back this week so thats genuinely surprised me.
Go Parra.

Souths Park will grind us out of this game, everyone knows how to beat us just go up the middle and from dummy half. So BA drops two of our better middle defenders. Genius!!

My only concern with the droppings (hehe droppings = poop) is mannah

Alvaro has been ordinary this year and i can live with him dropped. Niukore started well but has been ill disciplined. Mau probably would have started over him from round 1 if fit.

Even mannah has been average of late but i thought part of that was shit bench rotations.

Merkins call for players to be dropped. Well u got it

This is more like the team Hindy111 builds. A bit of nuts upfront. Stone must start and if he doesn't and we lose that is the reason we lost.

Well I don’t need anymore proof than a single result. It’s why I know I’m immortal from that one time I played Russian roulette

Posted some of this in the Team list thread for Souths game, but my mail is that Alvaro, Mannah and Taka were all dropped due to their form. In Mannah's case, he was out-shone by Gower against the Panthers, when he should have stepped up as the leader our pack needed.

Kaufusi was sent back to Wenty to get more match fitness/game time and Salmon was given a "rest" from NRL level for a couple of weeks as there were concerns his still growing body would suffer longer term.

Drown is 3--4 weeks away from a return and Nrown is on track to be back in time for the Bronco's at BankWest.

Post June 30 when development players can be picked, expect to see Stefano and Parry both make their debuts.

Good to see that BA:
1) isn't afraid to drop 'name' players because of their form
2) is nurturing the long term health and well being of the younger guys
3) is prepared to keep giving young players a crack at NRL when allowed and when suitable.

Thanks. You'd think that after that info that merkins would have dropped off by now with the BA criticism.

No if we lose it's because of the thing that I reckon is the problem. And if we lose it's proof I was right.

It will be because even though BA now knows he should be down on side lines rather than in the box he refuses to actually go ahead and stand on side line because he knows that would be admitting I was right.

I would like to offer you a job as a risk-based auditor. But if you're too busy I think most other footy fans would also do a great job.

Gutherson is another example of a guy who has gone backwards as a leader. I thought his decision making in the last month was embarrassing. He could still step up but he seems to have lost respect of the playing group as captain.

In what world are you living in where you can see how much respect the playing group has for Gutherson?

The captain of a club should never be seen leaving his contact negotiations go the way his did. The only thing he could do was blame his agent to save face but that is horrid leadership in itself throw your agent under the bus.

That's what a manager's job is.
