If I was running an NRL club, I would be very concerned on how appointing a new coach f**ks the club over with noise and speculation. So much so that the only way to transition to a new coach is to pay the outgoing coach to sit at home for a year. You would get BA to announce that 2024 would be his final year and give him a year salary bonus and an irrevocable non compete clause for 2025. Appoint a new coach early to remove all speculation and media f**kery.

Souths are the only team that has managed to change coaches in living memory without a hiccup. That was pure luck that their guy was keen to get the 2023 QLD team gig.

Then Noise bet that if he doesn't win, you will still want him extended.

If he happens to die, and for some dark reason you are hugging his nuts and wanting him extended, I think you win both - ie $1,000.

The only way Noise can win is if we win a grand final - but you can't win until all opportunities for Arthur to win one expire.

I'm not sure Arthur is the coach to lead us to a Premiership, but I tell you what - our 4 games against Penrith,and Melbourne, were some of the best footy I've ever seen us play.

We have loads of improvement left in us.

Given how much we improved after a month of rubbish, I believe BA has shown he can improve the team.

And debating Arthur is rather asinine - like it or not, he's here to stay.
