It’s also two wins in three years. Our club has transformed under Arthur’s. Might just be coincidence but2 finals wins in 9 years is a success

Yeah but you can't put lipstick on a pig.We will never know for sure, but I think the results would have been different, by sheer virtue of the fact that - Bellamy, in particular - has runs on the board, in terms of taking average players to play to his systems exceptionally well.
Steve Turner, Bryan Norrie, Stephen Bell, Mitchell Sargent, Tim Glasby...
All average players that reached their potential under Bellamy.
Say what you want about him - the merkin gets results.

Gus’s word is now gospel bahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!!
2 finals wins in 9 years is a success, would Bea still be here if Gus was running the show ??? 9 years without a prelim?? I seriously doubt it.
*Brave Eels!Yep Gus has analed us through the media, now he is talking up Bea like he’s made the last 3 prelims with absolutely no luck.
They don’t mind because I don’t have the balls to take them for as much as I could.
No one is brave as those plucky little chooks mate.*Brave Eels!

No mention of the spoon. I do find it interesting that Matt Thompson thinks if we had Bellamy or Robinson that we would have won a premiership during that time.Gus’s word is now gospel bahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!!

They were inferior because we finished above them on the ladder and they were missing their best player in Thurston. They had results go their way to make the top 8 so they got lucky in that regard. What was inferior about them? They were packed with Origin players and premiership winners and they won three finals matches that year. There was nothing inferior about them.
WTF does 'underranked' mean? We finished where we deserved to finish. We faced Penrith because they lost in week one to an inferior team. Anything can happen on the day. They almost lost to us.
If we don't finish top four it's because we are only one of several teams fighting for maybe only one available top four spot and some other team had better luck.
I reckon the leaders in the team had a fair role in that as well just quietly.Bellamy can - Bryan Norrie, and Steve Turner, were ordinary footballers, and he made them into very good players.
Yep…and Ray Price poked him in the boo boo during a scrum in the 1981 Grand Final which only fuelled the hatred further. What Gus says has some truth, but it also has some agenda driven bullshit to.
Gus hates Parra, because they wouldn't sign him as a junior. If I'm not mistaken he is a Wentworthville junior. He hasn't forgiven the club since, and will do anything to deathride the joint.
I think that’s fanciful when it comes to Robbo. Bellamy is different though. Has shown he is a development coach. No mention of the spoon. I do find it interesting that Matt Thompson thinks if we had Bellamy or Robinson that we would have won a premiership during that time.

But he isn't solely responsible. What makes him a great coach is that he develops leaders in the playing ranks that make muppet players better. For sure.
Bellamy is a hell of a coach, though.
