Watching him in reserve grade, it’s hard to see why he hasn’t been given a run in the NRL. He must be lacking something.

Short drop outs attacking.
Holding the ball in scrum.
Breaking early from scrums.
Penisini trust your halfback.
Waqa trust your center.
Sivo. Many more hit ups required at speed.
Get rid of Ogden.
Rheed coach him to pick up a fu*king rolling ball.
How about a run around play?

Yeah the Oggie ship has sailed. At this point he does not bring to the bench what we were seeking from picking up Klemmer or Taupau. Emu doesn’t have the motor I reckon. Five mins of NRL and he will be gassed and a liability.

Yeah I have no answers, just questions.

As much as Makka is average, he actually can stay on his toes and punch out 20 mins. So I guess he is all we have.

Run around play with Junior worked great the other week now it's been put away.

All these things (players calling the runaround or trying to shutdown an overlap) are player choices. Once they’re on the field it’s out of the coach’s hands. There is no game plan possible where the players don’t have to make decisions.

I heard talk in the stands that Nathan Brown will be fit to play in finals week 1.

There is no game plan possible where the players don’t have to make decisions.

Except for a very shit one, where the coach tells the players to take 5 hits ups then kick - and when in the red zone to only try and score through short kicks and crash plays...

I have never seen a game where that was all that happened. It’s almost a strawman.

Maybe it's been shelved until it's needed. It definitely wasn't needed yesterday. Don't want to show your whole hand until it matters.

My biggest hope is that we can go into the final games (wherever we finish) and have so many cards up our sleeves that we're less predicatble to the opposition - both in terms of shoring up our weak spots in defence (that might be targeted) and in having various options in attack (and not being scared/coached not to use them).
