Anyway, with our WLWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWL record, we're a shoe in against the Panthers next Thursday, and everyone will be begging us to re-sign Arthur to a 100 year contract. And up Gutho's offer to $800 k's.

Longer than 2014 mate.... we were voted the softest forward pack in the NRL by other players in 2006 and it hasnt changed since.i
Was that the same pack that had about 5 out and still got us to the finals??

That was beaten by a team of cheats in a close game after a BS no try call went against us??

That soft pack??

The excuses for this bloke are never ending, in 2014 when we had two chances to make the finals and bottled it against two spoon contenders should of been prof he can’t get us up for the big games. The amount of times when we just don’t show up under BA is endless.

We have never played tough under him ever.

I think BA will do the same thing next week because it obviously wasn’t a monumental f**kup, we were just unlucky
The Tigers conceded 50 to a worse team than Melbourne (us) a few weeks ago. Does that mean their coach is useless or that he's to blame?

We have huge leadership problems in our team, and it won't be solved by changing coaches. We need to buy some leaders, like we tried to do a few years ago. Replacing Arthur will probably help with a fresh start too.

Pretty sure in the past you’ve belted down our throats the only leadership we need is from a coach.

Anyways, how much of a distraction does everyone think these contracts talks are creating? With so much uncertainty, I can’t see neither coach or players remaining 100% focused till their futures are sorted. Surely by now, the board has seen enough to either sack or even back BA with a contract.

If it takes the board half of 2019 just to re-asses BA, how long with they require just to appoint a replacement if he’s sacked? August? September? Surely that’ll be way too late to attempt to assemble anything remotely decent in terms of roster for season 2020?

Ah f*^king well. The joys of being an eels fan...

But didnt we fix all that by punting Corey?

Maybe we should put in a massive bid for Cooper Cronk. Age does not not seem to be taking much of a toll on him and he does not even seem to need to be 100% fit to be able to do what he does well. Offer him the head coaching job as well.

We will beat the Cowboys and we will beat Penrith.

We will also finish in the 8 this year.

Despite this, I think it is time for BA to go. I'm confident our club feels the same way so I won't plop my pants in anger.

His contract won't be renewed.

As coach or as a player? You do know that he is 41 next year?

I am not suggesting we have played tough under BA and I am not making excuses for him or for any of our players.

You claimed we have had a soft pack since 2014 inferring that it was BECAUSE of BA, I simply stated that our pack has been deemed soft for a hell of lot longer.

I meant more mentally soft than anything.

How many games have we not shown up under BA??? Games where you could tell after the first few sets that they aren’t on today??

Or games where they have just given up??

They gave up last night pure and simple.

At the Knights game you could tell after the first set. Probably the first hit up actually.
Arthur has no idea about motivating the team prior to a game I am pretty sure he does not consider that part of his job.

I thought you meant physically soft because your original post mentioned how shit we were in the wrestle. My bad I guess.
