That was our best win of the season .... showed some balls to get back into it when shit was against us ... shows our attitude has changed alot

I reckon we start negotiating a new contract with BA now ... it will take a little while to sort out

Agreed, we showed some serious character today. And we rolled home big time.

Just need to do that on the road more.

Next week would be a good start ... though i would also accept if we just rolled em from the start of next weeks game and put a magic 40 on em

I am living in hope simply because we have a good record at Suncorp, hoping that helps being on a neutral ground and I know there is a decent Parra support base in Brisbane.

And Norman was on the field when we fought back to take the lead 18-14 after being down 14-0. It was when he threw his forward pass to give them the try to even it up that he was injured.
It may not have helped their chances, but certainly wasn't the reason we won

I find it hard to get a read on BA. He's had really mixed results.

2014: 10th. Missed out on the 8 on for and against. Needed to win at least one of our last two games against the Knights (finished 12th) and Raiders (finished 15th).

Halftime against Knights we lead 12-8 and lose 42-12.
We were never in the game against the Raiders in the final game.

2015: 12th. A pretty ordinary year. Although losing Hayne and having Norman and Sandow in the halves wasn't great either.

2016: 14th (but would've been 8th). Did well to keep things together. Would've been a really tough year for everyone in the club.

2017: 4th. A really solid season and a strong showing against Storm in week one of the finals. Blown off the park against the Cowboys.

2018: 16th. Ech.

2019: Showing signs of being another decent season and possibly a top 8 finish. Some great recruitment in Paulo, Lane, Fergo and Sivo and young talent coming through and developing well.

2018 was just baffling to me after finishing fourth. I just have a feeling he's the right coach moving forward and I hope we give him a contract.

I’m sure BA has learnt a fair bit along the way. A top 8 finish would leave many experts with egg on their face. If we jagged the next two he’s earned an extension imo.

A few things that are obvious and have been part of BAs plan for the club.

The recruits this year were specific and a result of BA identifying the size and winger issue. The move to 1 playmaker in the halves, promotion of Niukore and the elevation of Oregan and likely debut of Stefano at some stage of the season.

Maiko Sivo was signed to play first grade this year, it was no fluke .

If there was an issue it may have been his willingness to operate with not enough support staff, pretty much BA believing if you work harder you can overcome these things. The review simply told the truth and here we are.

Every player that has joined has said it his vision that got them over the line, we need to extend his contract for the results he has planned for to arrive. The juniors coming through are a result of his attention to the junior programmes and pushing coaching staff down the line to Matts/Ball and similar.

I think this is a great observation and im sure its been a significant issue. The good news is, if this is correct, BA has been rescued from himself and allowed to do what he does best. I reckon he could still do with better/more specialised coaching support but the positives are that our club now appears determined to drive improvement.
Well said DB.

I'd say it suggests he has usually had a middling squad at best
