One thing I wish Brad would get better at is talking to the media. He has very little in the way of personality, charm, charisma. He doesn't even look passionate. I know this sounds like another lame contribution on my part but it is a pet hate of mine that NRL clubs seem so useless at utilising the media for their benefit. Every coach looks like media is a nuisance to them. At the end of the day I think it costs clubs money.

It is kind of lame to be honest. He is paid to win games and we are 2/2 this year and that is your opinion, I think he seems intense and passionate which is my opinion so many people will differ.

Reading this thread most of the complaints are like this one a bit trivial, makes me think people honestly forget how terrible the years under Kearney for example were. I'm pretty optimistic as an Eels fan but most games I went to during that period I expected a loss. Brad Arthur basically re-built us

He isn't just paid to win games in my opinion. The money he is on is what it is mainly because of media deals not because of wins. Arguably his job is selling advertisement on TV.

So if a coach was 0/26 but presented well on TV, he would keep his job at the end of the year? Hmmm.

Wayne Bennett was terrible with the media for 20 years and still kept his job because he won premierships. I'll concede and say I agree it is apart of the job now adays to "sell" games as a coach but as I said is apart of the job.

Agreed. That is all I am saying. Coaches are actually in the best position to be salesmen for the game, even more so than players because the players are young and wet behind the ears.

He is a good coach.

gee have you seen Bellamy tried to do media commentary on fox, sounds like a chipmunk.....

anyhow BA not passionate??? Really, you can accuse him of many things but not being passionate is definitely not one of them.

And BTW, BA has been mic’d up twice in the last year, more than pretty much every other coach. Some coaches won’t even do that, so he does do his bit in the media:

PS look at the passion from BA in those videos......
