...Why it is these days that when you watch shows like 'Australia's Funniest Home Videos', when they show home movies or police videos all the original recording numbers (if there are any) are visible but the recording date has been blurred out? It never used to be like this- I'm trying to work out what could be so offensive or confidential about revealing the date of a recording :? It's not exactly nuclear secrets or pornography.

It's to hide the fact that they are recycling clips.

probably because it's years old already......or it's US footage with the month before the day......? :-k

So who cares? I don't get it- it's not like some date is going to be the clue that reveals they're recycling clips rather than the footage on the other 98% of the screen :crazy:

They most likely get uptight about these kind of minute details wanting to appear to be the first to air footage? however there's often far more than blurred out recording dates to give away the date/location of some of the rot they show...........
