I recon the only reason Ando brought him to the club because he new he wouldn't pass the ball and try anything a regular 5\8 would.

Yeah, it looks like he didn't want anyone who would try and run the game besides the halfback. No enterprising play from the hooker or the five-eight. I forget what his exact words were, but he said it himself when he said he needed only a halfback, forwards and some talented athletes.

Birdy scored a try, and set one up for the Peach. To be honest he went Ok, better than Aitken did in my opinion.

the paties are a little to "wollwotyjs" and the buns a bit on the stale side

i have also noticed that the buns - whilst not stale - havent been as adequately toasted as they once were

He went pretty solidly, didn't carve them up though, as much as I expected. Made a couple of breaks, set up a couple of tries for Stinky.

I was really impressed with Simmons. At one stage he fielded the ball in his in goal, beat two defenders made forty metre run down field.

Confusing thing was that Aitken and Simmons were both wearing the number 21. I thought Aitken got a try, but the ground announce said it was Simmons.

The Telegraph today reported that the 3rd game against Port MacQuarie was won 16-10 and that plenty of changes had been made for this game.

That is good to hear. His form had been quite patchy from all reports in the previous trials.
