What's this about shutting down a forum?

I can't remember specifically right now, but a couple weeks ago during commentary of a Broncos game, Ray Hadley said basically word for word a post (about a sentence or two long) made by another user on this forum. I commented at the time, but can't remember it for the life of me.

I can't remember specifically right now, but a couple weeks ago during commentary of a Broncos game, Ray Hadley said basically word for word a post (about a sentence or two long) made by another user on this forum. I commented at the time, but can't remember it for the life of me.

About 7 or 8 years ago there was another rugby league forum which had all the membership, Hadley and friends were upset by something that was posted anonymously and threatened legal action on the site, it closed down for a while and we all came here - this place has since grown considerably.

I have no doubt either Hadley (or more likely some intern he has digging up dirt for him) is constantly on this forum too - doubt they post though

I'd believe that. A colleague of mine once got an intern to do research for him on a topic he was going to give a speech about. He asked the intern where she got her information. She told him she posted a question on a group on Facebook and also lurked some forums.

This is the thread I was talking about before with Hadley. "Balance of probabilities" He mentioned half of the second last line of the first post in this thread, in his commentary.

In all honesty...It's freakin wikipedia. Some Sportal ponce probably edited it to include their forum in there.

yeh the same wikipedia that claimed scott minto starred in space jam as one of the monstars. it might be a bit more regulated these days but its hardly a source for credible information unless its been cited

Btw, although his morning show starts at 9am, he arrives at work at 4am. So, during that 5 hr period, I wouldn't be surprised if he read these forums sometime after finishing the preparation for his show.

So...where's all the mathematicians on here? Using the 'balance of probabilities' (lol) theory they could work it out - using the the times they (Gould & Rothfield) could usually post (there would be some exceptions) + when they probably couldn't help but express their opinion (their obsessions) + the teams they go for (past & present) + former & current opinions expressed publicly on occasion + thinly or cleverly (lol) disguised red herrings...they could possibly be outed. There's probably more clues that could add to the equation but wtf...who cares anyway?
I have no doubt that any number of people involved in the NRL in some capacity have a look on here on occasion & it wouldn't surprise me if some of the ones who like to hear themselves speak & think their opinion is important actually post on here. That's whats good and bad about forums

You can put weight into a wiki claim if it's sourced and you take the time to examine the source and see that it is legit.
