Dogs dont deserve to be in the semis

The doggies are just playing woeful football at the moment. The dogs are extremely lucky that the Tigers are playing worst and got us through, regardless of the other weekend results.

Unless, they change quickly, the dogs will be out in the first week of the semis.

So dissapointed with the way they are playing at the moment. I dont know what it is, but it aint good.

Cant blame injuries now....

I agree mate.

We're just not performing good enough. The hunger doesn't seem to be there. I will be upset if we go out next week but at the same time I won't be wondering why.

I think Sunny Bill will be a MASSIVE loss and by the elbow today it does look like he will be suspended, however, Maitua's lifting charge was no worse than fat hindmarshes last monday against us, so he should get off, it was a nothing lift.

Good to see some intelligent Dogs fans.
From an outside perspective I think Dogs need to reevaluate the halves options.

don't forget though the semis are an entirely different ball game. Whilst I won't be surprised to see us out early, don't be surprised if things turnaround either - anything can happen.

Just get Willie to shut up. Every time he talks in the paper you know he'll be having a bad game and his side will play poorly.

Bulldogs are right in it like the rest of us. If you get Manly or the Eels you'll smash them both. NQLD... maybe.

hmmm dunno what your talkin about, i thought Willy had a pretty strong game, some good runs and some good hits. Don't mind Manly at brookie, we've already gone there this year and come back with a win. Melbourne in melbourne scares me tho. If that becomes the outcome, we might as well not turn up, especially with the form we're in.

We lack consistancy, Roberts has been woeful of late but we have all seen him play well.
Same with all of the boys, there flat at the moment and they almost expect to win when they take the field

Dogs finish 6th regardless of what happens in Eels v Broncs. Which means theyre playing us (Cowboys) again in week one... hopefully it's the same result :D

hopefully the dogs will start using some tactics instead of just turning up to play. it's like we've got no idea where the opposition weaknesses are, or where our strengths are. Smarten them up Folkesy!!

And maybe some catching practise wouldn't go astray either.

Catching practice for sure!

And teach players not to kick when we have 2 players on the inside, that a pass will see a try to tie the game up at 38 all.

Silly errors......

yeah the side seems to lack a little 'nous'. Unfortunately that's something you can't really coach. The player I hate the most in the side Hughes is about the only player that has a bit of nous about him.

another thing that pisses me off is the constant grubbering into the corners from 30-40 metres out. If we had the defence of teams gone by it's great but we're not going to win games by doing that. Teams with fast dummy halves will just carve us up every week. We need to put the ball in the air, or aim for the in-goal and try and get a repeat set, not try and trap the team down their end of the field because we just ain't good at it anymore.

Dogs have been pathetic.

I think Roberts is a stop gap 5/8. Sherwin hasn't got many more years in him.

Guess we'll be waiting for Groom, Barba & Ezekiel to come through the grades to fill the halves. Hopefully they make the jump some day (Barba & Ezekiel for JF or under 20s, Groom will be in PL from manly). They sure do have some talent though.

Roberts is one of our future halves. We just re-signed him and he'll get better with time. He's got talent and potential. People criticizing a rookie in a very important position is the last thing both Roberts and the Team needs. Terry Lamb is teaching Roberts in the halves position. Give the kid a break.

I think on a whole it has been a very disappointing season, compared to what we could have accomplished with the squad we had this season.

Honestly, i would hate it if we survive with a loss this week and head into next week (week 2) with no momentum whatsoever.
