When was the last time the bulldogs won $100,000 for a hit and giggle comp?

I hate seeing people in power being so biased. It is a real shame :(

We could have taken it much more seriously and fielded a much stronger team, that we did.

But we didn't have to.

Sour grapes.

They are already making excuses as to why they won't win this years 7s, and they havent't even started yet.

For crying out loud, people.......THINK !!!

Understand how fourth-rate "journalists" operate
They measure their success on how may people read their crap.

If this "journalist" reported straight down the line that Canterbury were not going to take the 7's seriously, none of you would have really given a stuff.

But...throw in a coupld of cheap shots at Parramatta, all of a sudden, everyone is starting to read this "journalist" crap and all of you are discussing it on this forum.

Which is probably what he wants, as I suspect nobody really looks at that oher website anyway.

Best way to hurt him.....IGNORE IT.

Anyway, the REAL reason the Dogs are fielding a second rate team is that they do not want to upset 90% of their fan base when they play Lebanon in the 7's.

nah... his comments weren't made in order to gain himself "reads" or "visits"..

His comments come purely from the disdain he has for Parramatta...

The Dogs can argue all they want, but the 7's has a certain significance. Apart from those outlined in my previous post, there is also a $100 000 cheque for the winners. That can come in very handy.

Folkes not picking a good side for the 7's last year paid big dividends for the Dogs in the regular NRL season

At least we got 100k. What did they get?

Journalists at sporting matches get "media passes", M.O'Neil does not. thus he is not a journalist.

Isn't the purpose of the 7's is to showcase the game at a world level. Otherwise, when would NRL clubs play the likes of Russia etc........I think it's a duty to each club to field a strong side to help develop emerging nations into a decent team.

ARL chariman Colin Love yesterday indicated that some clubs may not be invited to participate in the 7's next year if they do not field strong squads.

Fine by me, just makes it easier to win the $100,000.
