I think the Dogs ended up winning by two tries.

Played over four quarters with both teams trailing squads of 20-25.

Knights rested Cooke, Roberts, Josh, Api, Simms, Ewey, Williams and a few others.

Cant comment on what sort of strength Dogs were running at.

Hard to judge with so much chopping and changing, but both teams looked pretty solid in comparison to last season.

Knights stnd outs were Tye Alchin at prop.

For the Dogs, I lost my team sheet at some point but a back rower wearing the 11 and in the third quarter the little number 7 were both very handy.

No injuries I can recall for Dogs.

Knights - Clarke (broken nose), Alai (shoulder, no idea how bad), Kennedy (shoulder - no idea how bad) and Matt (leg - looks minor).

Nice to hear Tye Alchin is looking good.
I've heard from a few people that he has really been doing all the work in recent times.
His father was a pretty handy prop for Macquarie, and of course his grandfather is infamous as the most suspended player in the history of the Sydney comp. I just hope 'Mad Mick' doesn't get in his ear too much.

have noticed you have Mick jr as Tye's father. in fact Mick jr is Tye's uncle. fathers name is Paul.

Thanks.
I don't suppose it matters who his people are, but i'm all for locals getting a go, and you don't get any more localthan his family - especially his mother's clan.

PS - that was a joke about Mick snr getting in his ear, about the getting suspended thing. I'm sure it could only be positive to have a relative who has played and coached at that level.
