Good post. It'll be interesting how this plays out including how Madden, Javon and Latu fit into the team. I can't see AD moving back to the centres in this team but you never know.

4 years is a long contract with the amount of talent we have coming through in the halves.
I know, i even forgot about Javon.
5 into 1 doesn't fit. I'd be happy for two years total for AD because Haywood is young enough to hang around to learn hIS trade but Fainu 🤔
What happens if Latu replaces AD and is an absolute sensation week after week. What happens to AD.
Potential stars used to hang around for a while but these days its a Galvin Era.

It would appear Marshall is trying to sign the entire squad to long term contracts which would indicate he thinks the current squad can win the comp.

I tend to disagree with this.

If this doesn't work out and we punt Marshall, it'll be 4 years before another coach could make any changes.

Looks like we're in for the long haul, come hell or high water.

Didn't we have him for next year?
Seems a bit premature for a guy who hasn't proved his ability as a half and has had several knee recos.
I'm seriously hoping he nails it at half, if he does we can win the comp, I rate the guy as a true competitor but why the rush.
We have backup plans in Haywood and Fainu as well a Madden.
I guess it gives us security but what if he's a flop. We have a plethora of outside backs as well.
I'm only playing the devils advovate here. AD can play half, fingers crossed he plays like a game winning half.
Go the Tigers.
We win 26-16
Is it because if "he nails it", we would possibly lose him?
His form last year was excellent at 7, I guess that's all they can go on, plus his attitude.

He’s obviously shown some leadership qualities over the preseason… also he may be fitting in well with Luai at halfback. Luai must have declared his approval of signing AD long term. I’ve been waiting years for players to discipline the slackers. Leaders in the group are essential and Benji is pushing it big time..
Alternatively Benji may have wanted a longer contract for AD last year anyway, and now that Richo is gone he’s activated it.….benji seems to really enjoy AD’s company from videos but realistically he must be showing something now. Prob a slick partnership with Luai and taking the pressure off Luai etc by taking the lead…also Hes a Leo Tiger. He’s at the very top of the food chain in terms of authorative calmness under pressure. They are worth their weight in gold

Neither AD nor Luai would back down.. hopefully it Dousn’t come to that..They’d be the alpha males.. AD prob the more confident, just. Was that them having a go at each other on the video. obviously good natured. still

Well this is where I think I'm the only one who states that AD didn't play ½ back in those great games late in the season, he played what we called back in the dsy a stand off, someone who plays more of sn opportunity role away from the ruck. Andrew Johns said the same thing too after one f thise games.
If he plays a traditional ½ role against the cowboys by displaying all the attributes of a quality ½ then I'll agree that the extention is warranted.
Most of us on the forum, just fill in the gaps with our opinion based on what we read, mainly because the majority can't watch the boys train and play in reserves and pathways, and that includes me big time, we don't know if Fainu's shoulder is any good, he apparently was training the house down st dummy half but then came a period lately where the contact drills came started and he may have failed that, hence why he's out till rd 4.
We dont don't what tpa's are nor do we realy know what the coaches are picking up on with body language etc.
I said Bula and Nasi need to get a voice, in that last thing Benji said in those preseason vids is Masi needs to find s voice 👍It comes with experience but it was good to see him use it in the preseason with the training exercises.

That's nothing compared to the arse whooping your mum cops when fui fui moi moi comes over and ploughs her servants entrance. Do you still like watching live while rubbing one out or do you prefer to catch the replay later?

40 years and counting dickhead

He's an interesting type of player AD. He's like a swiss army knife. He offers you a lot of different things and can do a good job for each of them, without being elite at any. If you were looking for the best knife, corkscrew, or pair of scissors you'd buy something else, but it's good to have a useful pair of all of the above in one place ready to go.

You can't doubt his willingness and dedication though. He does a job for you, whatever is asked of him.

Mr fix it alright DOM.
I love his competitiveness.
If you go back and read posts about him by our members, including a couple from me, you'd swear he had one leg and no arms.
The fact he's come back from all those horrendous knee injuries and remains positive and effective, typifies the man's demeanor.
He's a running back with a decent fend. His roving ability suits him and our team atm.

He's like Kurt Gidley, but without the cronyism gifting him rep jumpers he didn't deserve.
