The St George Illawarra Dragons have today announced their home game venue structure for the 2020 NRL Telstra Premiership season.

St George Illawarra will split their home game allocation evenly between Wollongong and Sydney with WIN Stadium to host six games and Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah to host five games in addition to the Dragons' traditional Anzac Day clash against the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Other than the Dragons' home game against the Roosters on Anzac Day, the exact details of opponents and days played, as well as venue availability, won't be determined until the NRL draw is released later this year.

"The 2020 schedule will see the Dragons play 11 of our 12 home games at our traditional Kogarah and Wollongong venues," Dragons CEO Brian Johnston said.

"Next season also sees the Dragons host the biggest game of the regular season as a home game, the traditional Anzac Day clash against the Roosters at the SCG."

Mudgee's Glen Willow Stadium and the Central West of New South Wales will still play an important role in the Dragons' 2020 campaign with the annual Charity Shield against the South Sydney Rabbitohs set down for the pre-season.

The Dragons' 2020 Red V Membership program will go on sale next week following today's home venue allocation announcement.

The CEO was quoted as saying he can't wait to send us to the visitors sheds. This means war you realise.

This is where OUR ceo has no balls.
We should never give up our right, to play at Kogarah.
We should never give up our dressing rooms.
Weak kneed, lacking any shape or form of testicular movement.

In six months as a ceo, Brain Johnston has dissovled any good he achieved as a player.

So why did not the Board decide their home game policy months agao and get in first; retaining our dressing room and getting first pick on the dates that we choose to play at Kogarah.

We don’t get to pick dates, the NRL does that.

And how do you expect the board to negotiate home sheds? If the Sharks are renting a ground that WE DONT OWN, what bargaining power do you think the board has?

At the very least the NRL should show the courtesy and historical respect we deserve and not not have the Sharks host us at our home ground. That game they can take to the SCG. It is complete disrespect and its not a joking matter at all as far as im concerned.

Decision was made in 2016 not to have exclusive rights at Kogarah, as the Club would have to fork out maintenance costs. Writing is on the wall as we continue to fade away and reputation as being soft keeps being underlined on and off the field.
