They took games to the bigger venues to guarantee revenue. The fact is that Kogarah and Wollongong simply do not generate the same revenue as the other venues.

I prefer playing at them do not get me wrong and I am glad. Now I can take my newborn girl to a couple of games next year. Hoping we do a few afternoon games at both venues.

This was done because the NSW State Government have stuffed around with their stadia strategy.

Moving to larger venues for big games is inevitable. What the dragons need to do is do it on a slower scale and still keep the traditional heartland games.

It will go back to 4/4/4 when the NSW Government gets their act together.

The ANZAC day game morphed into us playing the Roosters at Allianz every game no matter whose home game it was. Surely we could think about playing Souths every year at the SCG as a traditional game. Then we could take 1 or 2 other games away from Sydney for the cash and also to increase fans.

What I think would be useful for a lot of these traditional venues is to play consistently. By that I mean they could play on the last Sunday of each month at Kogarah. So everyone knew that was happening. Similar with Wollongong. I think routine is very helpful.
